Description
A quick and easy weeknight dinner made with refrigerated dough, pepperoni, and mozzarella. This pull-apart bread is customizable, budget-friendly, and perfect for sharing.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large tube (13.8–16.3 oz) refrigerated cinnamon roll or biscuit dough
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
- 1 small package (30–40 slices) pepperoni slices
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)
- Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch Bundt pan or tube pan generously and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Open the refrigerated dough. If using cinnamon roll dough, unroll it; if using biscuits, separate them. Let sit for 5-10 minutes if stiff.
- Flatten a piece of dough in your palm. Place a few pieces of pepperoni and a pinch of cheese in the center. Fold the dough over and pinch edges to seal, creating a stuffed packet.
- Repeat with all dough, pepperoni, and cheese. Arrange the stuffed pieces in the prepared pan in a single layer, pressing them together.
- Drizzle pizza sauce over the arranged dough and sprinkle remaining shredded cheese on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Invert onto a serving platter.
- Brush the top with melted butter mixed with garlic powder. Sprinkle with dried oregano and red pepper flakes.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Do not overstuff the dough to prevent bursting. Use low-moisture cheese to avoid sogginess. Seal edges tightly. Can be assembled up to 8 hours in advance and refrigerated. Reheat leftovers in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes to crisp up.
