  • Author: Lilya
  • Total Time: 30-35 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

A quick and easy weeknight dinner made with refrigerated dough, pepperoni, and mozzarella. This pull-apart bread is customizable, budget-friendly, and perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large tube (13.816.3 oz) refrigerated cinnamon roll or biscuit dough
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 1 small package (3040 slices) pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch Bundt pan or tube pan generously and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Open the refrigerated dough. If using cinnamon roll dough, unroll it; if using biscuits, separate them. Let sit for 5-10 minutes if stiff.
  3. Flatten a piece of dough in your palm. Place a few pieces of pepperoni and a pinch of cheese in the center. Fold the dough over and pinch edges to seal, creating a stuffed packet.
  4. Repeat with all dough, pepperoni, and cheese. Arrange the stuffed pieces in the prepared pan in a single layer, pressing them together.
  5. Drizzle pizza sauce over the arranged dough and sprinkle remaining shredded cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  7. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Invert onto a serving platter.
  8. Brush the top with melted butter mixed with garlic powder. Sprinkle with dried oregano and red pepper flakes.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

Do not overstuff the dough to prevent bursting. Use low-moisture cheese to avoid sogginess. Seal edges tightly. Can be assembled up to 8 hours in advance and refrigerated. Reheat leftovers in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes to crisp up.
