Description
A creamy, rich, and indulgent chocolate peanut butter protein shake that tastes like a milkshake but is packed with 25-30g of protein. This simple 5-ingredient recipe is perfect for post-workout recovery or a quick, satisfying breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 scoop (about 30g) Chocolate Protein Powder
- 2 tablespoons (32g) Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 medium Banana (frozen is ideal)
- 1 cup (240ml) Milk (dairy, almond, oat, or soy)
- 1 cup Ice (if not using frozen banana)
- 1 teaspoon Honey or Maple Syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (optional, for extra chocolate flavor)
- A pinch of Salt
- 1 handful Spinach (optional, for nutrients)
Instructions
- Prep the banana by peeling and slicing it, then freezing it for at least 2 hours or overnight for a thick consistency.
- Pour the milk into the blender first to help the blades move freely.
- Add the frozen banana chunks, peanut butter, chocolate protein powder, and any optional ingredients (ice, honey, cocoa powder, spinach, salt).
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high, for 30-60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
- Taste the shake and adjust sweetness or thickness by adding more honey/milk or ice as needed.
- Pour into a glass and serve immediately. Top with extra peanut butter, cocoa powder, or chocolate chips if desired.
Notes
For the best texture, freeze bananas ahead of time. If using natural peanut butter, ensure it is well-stirred before measuring. Clean your blender immediately after use by blending water and a drop of soap for 10 seconds. This shake is best served fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
