Description
A quick, creamy, and satisfying smoothie made with just three main ingredients: bananas, peanut butter, and milk. Perfect for busy mornings or a mid-afternoon energy boost.
Ingredients
- 2 medium ripe bananas (about 240g)
- 3 tablespoons natural peanut butter (48g)
- 1 cup milk or milk alternative (240ml)
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- ½ cup ice cubes (about 120g, optional)
Instructions
- Peel bananas and break into chunks. Freeze one banana overnight if you want an extra cold smoothie.
- Measure peanut butter and milk. Have a spoon ready to scrape out peanut butter.
- Add banana chunks, peanut butter, and milk to blender. Add honey or maple syrup if using.
- Blend on high until smooth and creamy with no lumps.
- Check thickness. If too thick, add more milk and blend again. If too thin, add ice cubes or frozen banana slice and pulse until creamy.
- Taste and add a pinch of salt or sprinkle of cinnamon if desired. Blend again if adding extras.
- Pour into glass or travel cup. Optionally top with a drizzle of peanut butter or crushed nuts. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use ripe bananas with brown spots for natural sweetness and creaminess. Natural peanut butter without added sugar or oils is best. For a thicker smoothie, use frozen banana slices or ice cubes. Add a pinch of salt to balance sweetness. Protein powder or chia seeds can be added for extra nutrition. Store smoothie in fridge up to 24 hours and shake before drinking. Avoid freezing after blending.
