Crispy Air Fryer Cauliflower Bites: 5-Ingredient Snack

  • Author: Lilya
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

These crispy air fryer cauliflower bites are a quick, healthy, and kid-approved snack made with just five simple ingredients. They offer a shatteringly crisp exterior and tender interior without the need for deep frying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head of cauliflower (about 23 lbs / 900g-1.3kg)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: ½ packet ranch seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  2. Remove outer leaves from the cauliflower and cut off the bottom stem. Slice around the core to release florets, cutting large florets in half for uniformity.
  3. Rinse the florets and pat them completely dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
  4. Place the dried florets in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Sprinkle with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Toss until every piece is evenly coated and looks slightly glossy.
  7. Arrange the florets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  8. Cook for 12 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the florets at the 6-minute mark.
  9. Remove when edges are golden brown and crisp, and stems are tender.
  10. Serve immediately, optionally topping with Parmesan cheese or serving with a dip.

Notes

Ensure cauliflower is completely dry before cooking to prevent steaming. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary. For extra crispiness, shake the basket halfway through cooking. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer.
