Description
A refreshing, crowd-pleasing summer cocktail featuring fresh peaches, bourbon, and lemon juice, perfect for parties and easy to prepare in advance.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 large ripe peaches
- 1.5 cups (360ml) Bourbon
- 4–5 large lemons (for approx. 1 cup juice)
- 2–3 cans Lemon-Lime Soda (Sprite, 7Up, or Sierra Mist)
- 1 cup Simple Syrup
- Lots of Ice
- Optional Garnishes: Fresh peach slices, lemon wheels, mint sprigs
Instructions
- Make the simple syrup by heating 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar in a saucepan until dissolved. Let cool completely.
- Wash and slice the peaches into thin wedges, reserving a few slices for garnish.
- In a large pitcher, add sliced peaches, zest of 2 lemons, and simple syrup. Muddle gently to release juices.
- Let the mixture sit for 10-15 minutes to infuse.
- Add fresh-squeezed lemon juice and bourbon to the pitcher. Stir well and taste, adjusting sweetness or tartness if needed.
- Fill the pitcher with ice and pour in the lemon-lime soda. Stir gently.
- Serve immediately over ice, garnished with peach slices, lemon wheels, and mint.
Notes
Use ripe, fragrant peaches for the best flavor. The base can be made up to 2 days in advance; add soda and ice just before serving. For a non-alcoholic version, omit the bourbon and add extra simple syrup and lemon juice.
