Description
A cozy fall cocktail combining bourbon, fresh apple cider, ginger beer, and salted caramel syrup for a sweet, spicy, and refreshing drink perfect for autumn gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ounces Bourbon or Whiskey
- 3 to 4 ounces Apple Cider (cloudy, unfiltered)
- 2 ounces Ginger Beer
- 1 teaspoon Salted Caramel Syrup
- Ice Cubes (large cubes preferred)
- Apple Slices (for garnish)
- Cinnamon Stick (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep your glass by filling it with ice. If using copper mugs, chill them in the freezer for 15 minutes beforehand.
- In the glass, combine the bourbon and salted caramel syrup. Stir well until the caramel is fully dissolved into the alcohol.
- Pour in the apple cider over the ice.
- Slowly top with ginger beer, leaving about an inch of space at the top to prevent overflow.
- Gently stir to mix the layers slightly, keeping some ginger bite at the top.
- Garnish with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick. Serve immediately.
Notes
Stir the bourbon and caramel syrup together first to ensure the thick syrup dissolves properly. For parties, mix the bourbon, caramel, and cider in a pitcher ahead of time, but add the ginger beer just before serving to maintain carbonation. To make a mocktail, replace the bourbon with extra apple cider and a dash of vanilla extract.
