  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A cozy fall cocktail combining bourbon, fresh apple cider, ginger beer, and salted caramel syrup for a sweet, spicy, and refreshing drink perfect for autumn gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces Bourbon or Whiskey
  • 3 to 4 ounces Apple Cider (cloudy, unfiltered)
  • 2 ounces Ginger Beer
  • 1 teaspoon Salted Caramel Syrup
  • Ice Cubes (large cubes preferred)
  • Apple Slices (for garnish)
  • Cinnamon Stick (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep your glass by filling it with ice. If using copper mugs, chill them in the freezer for 15 minutes beforehand.
  2. In the glass, combine the bourbon and salted caramel syrup. Stir well until the caramel is fully dissolved into the alcohol.
  3. Pour in the apple cider over the ice.
  4. Slowly top with ginger beer, leaving about an inch of space at the top to prevent overflow.
  5. Gently stir to mix the layers slightly, keeping some ginger bite at the top.
  6. Garnish with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick. Serve immediately.

Notes

Stir the bourbon and caramel syrup together first to ensure the thick syrup dissolves properly. For parties, mix the bourbon, caramel, and cider in a pitcher ahead of time, but add the ginger beer just before serving to maintain carbonation. To make a mocktail, replace the bourbon with extra apple cider and a dash of vanilla extract.
