Description
A quick, customizable iced coffee drink topped with a thick, pillowy layer of pumpkin-spiced cold foam. It tastes like fall, costs less than coffee shop versions, and takes less than 10 minutes to make.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (240ml) strong brewed coffee, chilled
- 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream or full-fat canned coconut milk
- 2 tablespoons (30g) 100% pure pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk of choice (e.g., oat, almond, whole)
- Ice cubes
- Extra pumpkin pie spice for garnish
Instructions
- Brew strong coffee and chill it immediately with ice or refrigerate until cold.
- In a small bowl or frothing jug, combine heavy cream (or coconut milk), pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, and maple syrup.
- Whisk or froth the mixture vigorously until it forms stiff peaks and doubles in volume, resembling thick whipped cream.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
- Pour the chilled coffee and milk of choice over the ice.
- Gently spoon the pumpkin foam over the back of a spoon to layer it on top of the coffee.
- Dust the top with extra pumpkin pie spice and serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure all ingredients, especially the cream and coffee, are very cold to maintain the foam structure. Do not use pumpkin pie filling; use 100% pure pumpkin puree. If using light cream or low-fat milk, the foam will not whip properly. For a dairy-free version, use full-fat canned coconut milk.
