Spicy Watermelon Jalapeno Margarita Pitcher

  • Author: Lilya
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

A refreshing, blended summer cocktail pitcher featuring fresh watermelon, jalapeño, tequila, lime, and agave. This five-ingredient drink offers the perfect balance of sweet and spicy heat, making it ideal for parties or hot evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh watermelon, cubed and seeded
  • 2 medium jalapeño peppers, sliced (seeds removed for mild heat, kept for spicy)
  • 1.5 cups (360ml) Blanco Tequila
  • 0.5 cup (120ml) fresh lime juice
  • 34 tablespoons (45-60ml) agave nectar
  • Salt for rimming (optional)
  • Ice for serving
  • Garnish: watermelon cubes and thin jalapeño slices

Instructions

  1. Prep the watermelon by cutting it into cubes and removing all seeds. You need approximately 4 cups of cubed watermelon.
  2. Slice the jalapeño peppers into thin rounds. Remove seeds and membranes for a milder drink, or keep them for extra heat.
  3. Blend the watermelon cubes and jalapeño slices in a large blender on high until completely smooth (about 30-60 seconds). Strain if you prefer no pulp.
  4. Pour the blended mixture into a large pitcher. Add the tequila, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar.
  5. Stir well until the agave is fully dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
  6. Chill the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  7. Serve over ice in glasses. Garnish with watermelon cubes and jalapeño slices. Optionally rim glasses with salt.
  8. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

[‘Use fresh watermelon for the best flavor; bottled juice tastes artificial.’, ‘Control the heat level by adjusting the number of jalapeño seeds included.’, ‘For an extra-cold slushy texture, freeze watermelon cubes before blending.’, ‘The base mixture can be made up to 24 hours in advance and stored in the fridge.’, ‘Do not freeze the finished drink as the texture will change.’, ‘Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.’]
