Tropical Mango Pineapple Green Smoothie

  • Author: Lilya

  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A creamy, dairy-free green smoothie that tastes like liquid sunshine. This 5-ingredient recipe uses frozen mango and pineapple to mask the spinach, resulting in a sweet, tropical breakfast ready in just 5 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups frozen mango chunks
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple tidbits
  • 1 cup coconut milk (canned for richness)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach (packed)
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, if fruit isn’t sweet enough)

Instructions

  1. Ensure frozen fruit is properly frozen solid. If using fresh fruit, freeze chunks on a baking sheet for at least 4 hours.
  2. Pour the coconut milk into the blender first to help the blades spin freely.
  3. Add the fresh spinach, followed by the frozen mango chunks and pineapple tidbits. Add lime juice and ginger if using.
  4. Secure the lid and blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high speed. Blend for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
  5. Taste the smoothie and adjust consistency or sweetness by adding more liquid, fruit, lime juice, or honey as needed.
  6. Pour into a tall glass and serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

For best results, use frozen fruit to achieve a thick, milkshake-like consistency without diluting the flavor with ice. If using a weaker blender, blend in stages starting on low. The smoothie is best consumed immediately but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours; shake well before drinking as separation occurs.
